SO... you wanna submit a video, eh?
Well, actually it's very simple.

  1. Prepare a VHS video tape of your performance
  2. Make certain that the performance does not exceed 4 minutes. NOTICE: Because of limited megabyte space, we respectfully request that all digital submissions be of 12 megabytes or LESS.
  3. Send it to this address:

  4. Include the following information:
    1. your name
    2. a title for your performance
    3. the URL for your website (if you have one)
    4. a bio and information about you and your puppets (please do not exceed 300 words)
    5. your contact info... including a phone number!!!
    6. A letter signifying that you are giving the Puppet Forge the right to display your work on the website. By doing this you agree to let us display your work for at least three weeks on our site. After that, you may request it's removal at any time.
  5. Make certain you have done ALL of the above or we cannot post your video.

When I receive your video, I will review it and get it ready to be put on the website. I will contact you with any further questions. Your tape will be returned to you after it has been "digitized". PLEASE do not send your only copy! Make a duplicate before you send!

NOTE: The material that is posted to The Puppet Forge website is completely under my control. If your video is grossly objectionable (contains racial slanders, or sexual violence) it will be returned to you and not posted.

NOTE AFTER THE NOTE: The Puppet Forge is NOT a site designed for the sole entertainment of children. As a "submitter", please, challenge me. I LIKE to see puppet performances geared to adults. Make it edgy, make it traditional, make it crude, make it entertaining! We'll have a separate section for the kiddie stuff. All forms of puppetry are welcomed... we must support the art!

NOTE AFTER THE POST NOTE NOTE: Remember, The Puppet Forge is not paying for submissions. You will receive no money for submitting your video. Also, The Puppet Forge will not supply you with money to make presentations for the site. Our responsibility begins when your tape shows up in the mail.
